Hi, I’m Liz. It’s great to meet you.

I have been coaching in the areas of health, wellness and sport for the last thirty years.

Initially I studied for a pharmacy degree, but noticed the difference that regular exercise and eating well made to her performance and management of everyday living. I was inspired to study exercise and sports science at the University of Queensland, majoring in exercise physiology and exercise management.

I have devoted my career to sharing exercise science knowledge in an easy to understand and implement style that makes being fit and healthy an automatic part of living. That “formula” is driven by the individual in front of her, whether that includes training for sport or simply exercising to maintain health.

My love of exercise science has seen me manage corporate programs, design and deliver pilot programs for Seniors, teach group fitness classes to people from all walks of life and deliver rehab and strength and conditioning programs to varied populations. I’m currently involved in research funded by the Heart Foundation at University of Queensland and I also deliver power based cycling and triathlon coaching through Spin Doctor Coaching.

As a Masters athlete, I noticed that there was little information available to active women who were experiencing the menopausal transition and wanting to maintain their performance. I have seen confusion amongst women about how best to tackle the challenges of menopause, while being able to continue to enjoy training and their sport. I have notice that many women have questions about how best to structure their training around this time and how to construct a holistic regime that supports the changes that are occurring in the body. My speciality is creating and managing training plans that encompass multiple elements such as strength and conditioning, pilates, endurance training etc in a way that considers the effects of menopause, as well as give good performance outcomes. If improving your nutrition is a goal, I have plenty of practical evidence based ideas can help you too.

As a health generalist, I am very happy to refer you to other excellent evidence based professionals who I have worked with in both professional and personal capacities, such as dietitians, physiotherapists and psychologists should you require specialist help.

When working as a pharmacist, I have often been asked about the role of MHT (Menopausal Hormone Therapy) and natural therapies to help alleviate symptoms. I can assist you with any questions you may have about this and refer you to an appropriate medical practitioner if required.

I genuinely enjoy the coaching relationships I establish with my clients. Your success is what gets me out of bed in the morning. As a communications/journalism grad, I love nothing more than a good story.

Additionally, on that note, I provide specialist health/fitness/medical copywriting or freelancing services for individuals and businesses.
